In Kennel Training

In Kennel Training Programs Designed Just for You! Are you faced with serious behavioral issues? Or, are you going out of town and interested in having a well behaved dog when you return? We can help! We offer a 2-6 week in kennel program in which your pooch lives in the homes of our trainers for round-the-clock training and supervision. Your pooch will return happy, well behaved, and completely trained!

Puppy Housebreaking and Manners
2 week in kennel program designed to teach young puppies (up to 6 months of age) basic manners. During this time, your puppy will be taught basic commands such as sit, down, stay, come and loose leash walking. Our trainers will also lay a foundation for housebreaking and will combat problem behaviors such as chewing, whining and barking while properly socializing young puppies.

Basic Obedience "Charm School" - 2-3 week programs designed to teach basic obedience while combating minor behavioral problems. During "Charm School" your pooch will live in the home of a trainer where he or she will be taught basic commands such as sit, down, long stay (with distractions), formal heel, place and come. We will also troubleshoot any behavioral problems you are having. Included is 3 free private sessions for follow up!

Anti Aggression Doggy "Boot Camp" -3-6 week program designed for dogs with moderate to severe aggression. During this time, we will combat all types of aggression (i.e. dog to dog, dog to human etc) while teaching basic commands and manners and building self confidence. Included is 3 private sessions and lifetime admission to any of our group classes.

Daycare and Train Programs - Can't bear to be without your pooch for weeks while he or she attends boarding school? We understand and have developed a doggy daycare program just for you! Drop your pooch off at our Poway location in the morning and our trainers will work on the issues you are having throughout the day. Pick your pooch up tired, happy and better behaved! Ideal for obedience or behavior modification. Taxi service available for an extra fee.

Dogs participating in any in kennel program must be current on vaccinations and in good health. A non refundable deposit is required to make a reservation. All in kennel packages (excluding daycare and train) come with 3 complimentary private sessions as well as discounted admission to any of our group classes.

Did your pooch graduate from one of our in kennel training programs? Does he or she need a training refresher? Board your dogs at our Doggy Dude Ranch in Poway and we will be happy to refresh the training they received with us. You just pay boarding ($35/night)!

Following any IN KENNEL program (excludes Daycare and Train), dogs will receive FREE refreshers for life. Board your dog at our Doggy Dude Ranch and our trainers will refresh their training at no cost. You just pay boarding!

In Kennel Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Where will my dog stay?

A. Your dog will live in the home of our trainers for round the clock training and supervision

Q. How will my dog learn to listen to me and not only listen to his or her trainer?

A. We will give you explicit written instructions and a one hour private session upon pickup to teach you how to reinforce the training that was done. You will also receive 3 FREE private sessions you can use at your discretion for follow up. We will also give you unlimited refreshers - just pay boarding and we will refresh the training we have done.

Q. What is the maximum number of dogs a trainer will have in kennel at any time?

A. Trainers will have no more than 6 in kennel clients at any time.

Q. Will my dog be caged overnight?

A. For the safety of all of the dogs, training clients will sleep in a kennel overnight. During the day, non aggressive dogs will play in daycare from approximately 7am until 9pm. All meals are fed in cages unless otherwise dictated by the trainer.

Q. What should I bring for my dog?

A. You can provide your dog's food, favorite toys and bedding. We recommend bringing something that smells like home to help ease the transition into a new environment.
